December 2024 Technical Update

Desktop Application Changes:

We've added an on-site server that can be run within the timing application, so you can do live timing completely offline on your own LAN.
New improved tabbable entry add UI.
New version check - don't alert multiple times for new version in same session.
Timing App: Raw time sorting fixes.
Timing App: Penalties sorting fixes.
Timing App: Space/Enter should not trigger cone penalty when button selected, to prevent adding accidental penalties.
Timing Core/App/Site: Don't count 0 time as scoreable which could mess up the timing table sorting mid-event.

Website:

Mobile friendly timing.
Organizers: Ability to edit officials.
Organizers: Can change payment op if not used and event not verified.
Added "how did you hear about this event" on registration form.
Show "how did you hear about event" - in admin entries list.
Show "how did you hear about event" - in timing app.
For SEO we now generate "racing events near <city name>" pages. This is to help new competitors find events that may not be in their same city but nearby.
Event related tables are now mobile friendly.
When someone registers for an event for the first time, their entry is now highlighted blue.
Added a "pay later" option for Online payment methods that organizers can enable.
"Add to Calendar" option on event pages and at end of registration flow.
